Morning in Boston
We started our morning with a walk back down to the Boston Commons to grab a quick breakfast and buy some shirts we wanted.

Bye bye Boston
Leaving the city was painful. Mostly because I was driving. So many people, so many cars, and confusing streets. It made me remember why I could never make it in a big city. Eventually we made it to our next destination- Portland, Maine!
First look at Portland
Before heading downtown we wanted to slow down and enjoy the scenic views, we drove to a park and started walking. Completely by chance we ended up at Fort Allen Park! The history of the park was really interesting and the breezy 75 degrees was perfect for walking along the water.

The Beach
On our walk we ended up at a cute little beach. The water was freezing but we had to get our feet wet anyway.

Downtown
We left the beach and drove downtown. Parking was a lot easier than it has been the past 2 days so that was refreshing. We walked up and down the streets, stopping in some shops and checking out the town. Since we didn’t have lunch, ice cream seemed like a natural snack to hold us over for awhile!

Pizza stop
An hour later we realized we needed a snack if we were going to wait to go to a restaurant for dinner. A slice of pizza it is! Literally the best pizza I’ve had in a long time.

Overall we loved downtown Portland. It was relaxed, clean, and had a very European vibe. We decided to go back downtown for the night to check out the night scene.
Downtown @ Night
We started at Gritty’s with drinks and appetizers then made our way to the Independent Ice Co. The live music at Gritty’s and sitting outside at IIC were both fantastic.

We wrapped up our night at Arcadia National Bar with drinks and games!

Next we leave Portland, Maine and head to Vermont!
