Leaving Vermont

We were bummed to go without seeing as much as we would have liked but the weather this morning still wasn’t great so we got going early and decided to take our time getting to Buffalo.

Stop 1: Scenic Overlook

Driving along we saw so many signs for fresh produce, syrups, and honeys, we eventually stopped at a scenic overlook spot with a shop.

This shop had everything Vermont! If it wasn’t 10 in the morning I seriously would have considered getting their hand made maple ice cream. Nick sampled every kind of syrup they had. If you’re familiar with the friends episode with Ross and the maple candy.. well enough said.

Stop 2: Coffee House

The maple syrup buzz wore off so it was time for a quick coffee stop. This cute little stand on the side of the road had yummy coffee. I chose what creamer I wanted out of a fridge with about 8 different kinds of non dairy cream, it was awesome.

Buffalo, New York

We made it to our hotel in Buffalo around 4 and quickly had to decide if we wanted to check out Buffalo or go straight to Niagara Falls. We ended up going to the Falls because we wanted to see them at night. Neither of us had ever been their so we didn’t know what to expect, where to go, where to park… we eventually made it and just started walking until the signs told us where to go.

We kept walking and crossed the pedestrian bridge to see what else there was.

Terrapin Point

The sun was starting to set as we got to the point. The falls were gorgeous enough, but with the sunset it was breathtaking!

Every time the lights changed color you couldn’t help but take more pictures because it was so cool looking.

Fireworks at Niagara Falls

We stuck around for awhile waiting for the fireworks to start at 10. People watching is never a dull event, especially at a tourist attraction like this. However, while waiting we both got pooped on by seagulls… at least the fireworks were worth it!

Next stop –> checking out Buffalo & HOME!
